Bulgari's Octo Finissimo has rightly been celebrated as a new watchmaking icon since its inception. However, this has not (thankfully) stopped Bulgari from dedicating it splendid limited editions, using the harmonious facets and elegant thinness of the Octo Finissimo as a canvas for the creativity of its most important partners.
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of its star, the Maison decided to entrust this delicate task to none other than the auction leader: Phillips in association with Bacs and Russo.
Gone are the famous asymmetrical seconds at seven o'clock, to make way for a sectorial dial that relies entirely on the symmetry radiating from its central point. A choice of incredible impact, linking the dial and the iconic case with a continuous thread of symmetry, fully enhancing both.
The refined fullness and sportiness of the sandblasted titanium construction perfectly contours the dial etching, which magically changes its hue depending on the angle at which it interacts with the sun.
As fascinating on the front as on the back, where the personalised caseback allows us to admire the decorations of the incredible BVL 138 calibre, with its breathtaking thinness of only 2.23 mm, and its platinum micro-rotor.
