Cosmograph Daytona "Sigma"

It was in 1972 when APIOR, the Association for the Industrial Promotion of Gold, required all Swiss watch manufacturers to mark the use of gold for the indices on their dials with the Greek letter Sigma. Rolex, of course, complied, thus initiating the production of the so-called "Sigma Dials".
The custom lasted for a relatively short period of time, making Sigma dials a minority of the total production, which is why the Sigma dials are such an attractive detail for collectors. We are therefore delighted to offer you a rare Daytona 6265 with the coveted dial.
As was often the case, the original box and warranty have not been retained; however, the watch is preserved in sensational condition - as evidenced by the bezel, the dial, and all the little details.
