Launched in 1977 and designed by Jorg Hysek to celebrate the 222nd anniversary of Vacheron Constantin, the 222 has been an underrated gem for a long time and is now one of the most desired and sought-after integrated watches, for its scarcity and refined beauty.
Powered by the VC automatic caliber 1121, only about 100 were believed to be produced in yellow gold, of which just a extreme small percentage were factory-set with diamonds both on the bezel and the bracelet.
The impeccable conditions of this very example make it an absolute rarity.
Case: 37 mm yellow gold Bezel: Yellow gold and diamonds Bracelet: Yellow gold and diamonds Movement: Automatic, cal. 1121, 36 jewels Reference: 44518/415 Year: 1978 Documents: Vacheron Constantin Extract
