Since its establishment in 1755 Vacheron Costantin has always been one of the leading manufactures among Swiss watches companies.
Its notoriety is due to the long-lasting combination of iconic designs and subtle know-how used in creating high-technical and complicated machines, with no compromise.
Firstly introduced in late ‘30s, “teardrop lugs” are one of the most famous and eye-catching designs ever developed, lasting today as a signature of the remarkable heritage of the Maison.
The present specimen, presented in superb condition, is the compelling example of how a watch could last forever if preserved in the proper way.
The yellow gold case still retains its right sizes and shapes and shows no signs of polishing. The original creamy dial with yellow gold applied indexes and arabic numerals is flawless with no ageing marks or bleaching.
The cotès-de-Genève engraved movement is a work of art, running smoothly and still keeping its original charm after almost seventy years.
