Steel chronographs are regarded as one of the hottest topics of the last years. Thanks to their bold and masculine design they epitomizes the essence of a real tool watch, something really appreciated nowadays.
Up for sale is a charming Heuer specimen, which could perfectly sits either in a well-established collection or in a novice one.
The case coming all the way from the 50s retains its original shape and measures ca. 35mm.
The sportiness of this chronograph is enhanced by the dial featuring radium numerals, hands and the desirable tachymeter scale, used for record times in various competitions such as car racing.
Furthermore the dial shows a delicate patina and big eyes counters, a very sought after feature among collectors.
At the edge is visible the “Made in Switzerland” writing, which certifies the quality of the item, being also reported in cursive in the counter at six o’clock.
Movement wise, this Heuer encases the well known Valjoux 23 caliber, which equipped many important chronographs of the period.
It is fully signed on the main bridge together with movement number.
