Reference 6263 is maybe the most famous Daytona iteration.
Launched in 1970 and kept into production till 1988, only approximately 12.000 steel examples were made.
During its lifespan, the reference experienced several different configuration, some of them being extremely sought-after by collectors.
Up for sale is a very early specimen, bearing serial 2.6xx.xxx.
The dial impresses for its condition but above all for the tropical counters, giving a decisive touch to the watch.
The case still retains its original shape and is generally in great condition.
A very important feature for screw-down references are the pushers, which in this case are the mk1, perfect and coherent with the serial.
Movement-wise the 6263 house the improved Valjoux 727 caliber with 21.600VPH.
