This wonderful example of Rolex Submariner ref. 1680 was originally manufactured in 1973, and still retains wonderful conditions.
The bezel evolved to a charming grey hue, that some like to nickname “ghost”, and the lume on the dial turned to a wonderful and deep cream tone.
Talking colors, the most interesting and desirable detail is in the little red print at six. This detail, the red “Submariner” print, is extremely sought-after by collectors, so much so that examples like this are nicknamed “Red Sub”.
Rare dial, beautifully aged details and wonderful overall conditions are what truly make this piece a treasure that can be admired and enjoyed both from the expert collector as well as the neophyte.
